Audio spot, speakers list and bios - Lady Godiva's Independence Day Parade and Rally

The Freedom Farm, a completely non-partisan, non-denominational, no-nonsense bunch of patriots, is hosting Lady Godiva's Parade and Rally from Indianapolis' Monument Circle to the Indiana Statehouse on July 4, 2013, from 11a to 1p.

A young liberty activist will be in apparent, but not actual, Lady Godiva...er, um...apparel, and on a well-dressed horse. We will follow our veritable Lady Godiva with signs, banners, a megaphone, and a message that it's time to govern our government.

We'll start on the east side of the downtown Monument Circle, and march to the Statehouse.

Radio spot:
A 4:33 radio spot Andy did for the Indiana Talks radio network can be found here: http://thefreedomfarm.us/files/horning-godiva.mp3

Our speakers list:
David Stockdale of Carmel is an independent broker in health and life insurance and is an outspoken advocate for limited government, fiscal conservatism, individual liberties, and the U.S. Constitution.

Audrey Queckboerner of Leo is an administrative assistant, homemaker and web/graphic designer. She has been an activist, leader and candidate in both the Republican and Constitution parties who now describes herself an Independent.

Jerry Titus of Kokomo is a Field engineer in the semiconductor industry.  He has been involved as a libertarian leader and activist for five years, most recently serving as Andy's webmaster and campaign manager for his 2012 bid for US Senate, and currently serves as Andy's 'man-friday' at the Freedom Farm.

Andrew Horning of Freedom, is founder and principle at the Freedom Farm. A candidate for office eight times, Andy is widely respected for his thorough knowledge and dogged activism for both the US and Indiana Constitutions.

Our speakers' bios:

David Stockdale

David Stockdale is a lifelong Hoosier born and raised in Indianapolis, IN. After growing up in Indianapolis, he moved with his family to Carmel and graduated from Carmel High School. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He received a minor in Spanish and is fluent as a result of his studies abroad in Seville, Spain. He then achieved a Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Indianapolis where he was recognized into the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society.

David worked in the banking industry for ten years in management and was promoted into retail administration where he worked as a product specialist and sales trainer across Indiana. In 2008 he started his own business as an independent broker in health and life insurance. His business covers a fifteen State area.

David Stockdale is a strong voice for limited government, fiscal conservatism, individual liberties, and the U.S. Constitution. He has become increasingly frustrated with the apathy in Congress on our national debt and the desire to increase the size and scope of the federal government. His campaign will be a call to “Restore your Liberty” and bring attention back to our Constitution, economic freedom, and liberty. David was a delegate to the 2012 Indiana state Republican convention and has declared his candidacy in the 2014 Republican primary for the 5th Congressional District.

David resides in Carmel with his wife Jacqueline and daughter Tatiana.

Audrey Queckboerner

Audrey is an administrative assistant, homemaker and web/graphic designer. She has been married to her husband Gary for 19 years and they currently reside in Leo, Indiana. In 2008 she became active in politics by volunteering with the Ron Paul Presidential campaign. She served as a delegate for the Indiana GOP convention in 2008 and shortly thereafter became a vice-precinct committeeman and volunteer office assistant in her county party. She was elected to serve as the Membership Chair of the Allen County GOP from 2009-10 and ran for the office of State Representative in the 85th District polling 27% in a three-way-race.

 Upon leaving the GOP in 2010, Audrey rebuilt the Constitution Party of Indiana after years of inactivity. She served in a number of rolls including State Chairman, Public Relations Director, Membership Secretary and State Treasurer. In 2012 she ran a second time for the office of State Representative in the 85th district, this time on the Constitution Party’s ticket. Audrey has actively campaigned for many candidates over the years and assisted them with public relations work including former State Representative Cynthia Davis of Missouri.

She currently designs the monthly newsletter for the Constitution Party’s national office but considers herself now to be “politically independent”.

Jerry Titus

Jerry has been a Field Service Engineer in the semiconductor Industry for 26 years, primarily supporting customers in the midwest, but with extensive travel throughout North America..  Prior to that he was a biomedical technician at Wishard Memorial Hospital and a weather equipment technician in the United States Air Force.

Jerry began his political activism as an activist for the 2008 Ron Paul presidential campaign and attended that years Indiana State Republican convention as a delegate, serving as a parliamentarian for the Ron Paul caucus at that convention.  He began his association with Andy as an activist for Andy's 2008 gubernatorial campaign.  In 2009 he reauthored the New Hampshire Gold Money bill as the Indiana Honest Money Act which was introduced to the Indiana General Assembly that year by Senator Greg Walker of Columbus.

He has served as County Chair and State Vice Chair for the Libertarian Party of Indiana and was a candidate for Howard County Council in 2010.  In 2012 he served as Andy's campaign manager and webmaster for his US Senate bid.  He has designed, hosted and administered a number of websites for libertarian groups, issues and candidates, with his two current endeavors being http://thefreedomfarm.us and http://libertycalling.net websites.

Jerry resides in Kokomo with his wife Janice, their youngest daughter Elizabeth, and their three dobermans. His hobbies and interests include beekeeping, clocksmithing, organic farming, genealogy and learning guitar.

Andrew Horning

Andy has worked in cardiovascular healthcare since 1979; in research, clinical and industry/product development and education roles. He has helped develop several medical imaging devices and medical workflow systems, and he's authored/coauthored several clinical papers. His book on Stress Echocardiography has been printed in 8 editions and has been used in CME-accredited medical education courses. A former cartoonist, Horning also does medical illustration and has taught anatomy, physiology and ultrasound physics. Andy works from his small farm in Freedom, Indiana.

It was at least partly his work in the heavily, mindlessly, counter-productively legislated and litigated field of healthcare that drove him to reexamine what he’d been taught about the government’s proper role in our lives.

That reexamination, and a study of both America’s history and “Austrian School” economics, led him to libertarian political philosophy. He has since earned a reputation as a principled Libertarian activist, writer, public speaker and political candidate committed to the Rule Of Law under existing state and federal constitutions, as written.

He has been a weekly columnist for Indiana’s largest daily newspaper, and an Adjunct Scholar with the Indiana Policy Review Foundation. His columns and opinion letters have appeared in over 25 newspapers in Indiana, and even others around the nation, including the Houston Chronicle, the Wall Street Journal and USA Today.

Andy has been a candidate for office eight times, most recently  for US Senate where his vote percentage and total was the highest ever for a LPIN candidate in a three-way race and third highest percentage in the country for all Libertarian candidates for US Senate.

Lady Godiva's Independence Day Parade and Rally

Our founders must be spinning in their graves that we've made Independence Day about picnics and sparkly things.

Now, more than ever, we have reason to use the freedoms our founders bequeathed us, to fight for what they intended for us.

So...

Seriously?

Every day it becomes more obvious that our government has become worse than an embarrassment. It has become a well-armed, secretive, deceitful and increasingly intrusive threat.

Even the press is no longer free. You know that, right?

The question is, what shall we do about it?

Corruption and abuse of power in government is ancient and unavoidable. But the scale of our government, in every respect, is unprecedented. History shows that a small, focused, rigorously limited corrupt government is much better than a monstrous, huge corrupt government. Our founders wrote the constitutions, state and federal, to keep our corrupt government on a leash.

So while the ink was still wet on our US Constitution, and John Adams signed those horrid Alien and Sedition Acts into law, both Madison and Jefferson called for annulment of unconstitutional acts as the remedy in their Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions.

This is needed now more than ever, so we call for such remedy now:

Whereas the plain wording of the 10th Amendment to the Constitution for the United States of America is binding law;

Be it resolved that;

No law, agency, program or treaty that depends upon authority or property not specifically granted by the Constitution for the United States of America shall be valid;

Any agency, treaty, law or program operating outside authority or property specifically granted by the Constitution for the United States of America is null and void;

Unconstitutional laws, agencies, programs and treaties have created both problems and dependencies that will take time to rectify;

All unconstitutional federal powers, delegations, laws, programs, treaties and entities must be phased out within no more than ten years.

Lady Godiva Rides Again!

OK, so perhaps it's more legend than fact.  But the reason the story has ...legs, as it were, is because it's an all-too-rare story of self-sacrifice and victory against political oppression.

And isn't such a personal victory against oppression exactly the story we need right now?

Let's not fool ourselves any longer.  This is no Land of The Free, or Home of The Brave.  Our monstrous  political/banking crony network creates and thrives on fear, aggression and debt.  These corrupt elites are tearing this nation apart, and we can no longer afford to quietly submit to their illegal, immoral and destructive mayhem.

While the disease has many symptoms (war, debt, drones, rising costs and taxes, loss of rights), the disease is ungoverned government.  We suffer unregulated regulation, lawless lawmaking – our politicians are breaking the laws that generations of Americans held precious.

So we will submit this resolution to our elected servants, as well as to our fellow Americans:

Whereas the plain wording of the 10th Amendment to the Constitution for the United States of America is binding law;

Be it resolved that;

No law, agency, program or treaty that depends upon authority or property not specifically granted by the Constitution for the United States of America shall be valid;

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: We're NOT the other guys...

We're NOT the other guys...

It has come to our attention that there's to be an Open Carry protest starting two hours before our event.  It is titled “THE FINAL AMERICAN REVOLUTION : INDIANAPOLIS , INDIANA,” and is, in at least message and method, quite the opposite of our event.

Their event, falling out of a canceled Loaded Rifle event in Washington, D.C. promoted by libertarian radio host Adam Kokesh, promotes the dissolution of government; by violence if necessary.

We aim to be very clear that we Americans have exactly and only what We The People have freely chosen.  We see promoting violence as a means to change the government most voters have chosen is worse than foolish.

While we do support individuals' right to keep and bear arms, as well as citizens right to alter or abolish governments as described in many founding documents and constitutions, there is a right way to do that; and we promote the constitutional, moral way:

Whereas the plain wording of the 10th Amendment to the Constitution for the United States of America is binding law;

Be it resolved that;

No law, agency, program or treaty that depends upon authority or property not specifically granted by the Constitution for the United States of America shall be valid;
